Museum offering beautiful testimonies of the practice of metallurgy and blast furnaces, in the XVIIIth century, in Guérigny.
Housed on the exceptional site of the former Forges Royales de la Chaussade, the museum's rooms are a fine reminder of 18th-century metallurgy and blast furnaces, with models of old machines, drop hammers, steam engines and production for the navy (anchors, chains, etc.). Every summer, temporary exhibitions are held in these fabulous industrial buildings. Take the time to stroll around the site, with its hydraulic installations and 18th- and 19th-century buildings: fascinating!
