RAILWAY STATION AND MUSEUM
Golra's small railway station was built in 1881. Although about twenty trains still cross it every day, time seems to have stopped there. Perhaps it is due to the Victorian style of the colonial building on the platform or the steam train on a railway that is no longer in use. On the platform, the former waiting room of the station has been transformed into a museum and now houses a collection of extremely well preserved objects from the railway history: oil lamps, old telephones, tea services, old newspapers, etc. Outside the entrance, billboards placed by the British government of the time advertise the benefits of tea and detail its preparation with diagrams.
