Rukn-e-Alam (1251-1335) was a prominent figure of Sufi Islam in Multan. His tomb was built in the 14th century by Governor Tughlûq of Delhi, Ghiyas-ud-din. The 35-metre high building is made of red bricks and blue and white mosaics, and decorated with geometric, arabesque and floral motifs. Inside, the saint's tomb is surrounded by those of his 72 descendants. The pilgrimage to which it is subjected attracts more than 100,000 faithful from all over South Asia every year.

Grande élégance de ce mausolée octogonal grâce à l'inclinaison de ces bastions d'angles et aux splendides incises de céramique dans ses façades. Visite incontournable
