HOTEL DEWAN-E-KHAS

Located in the centre of Skardu, the Dewan-e-Khas hotel is a very good choice. The rooms are all quite different, some cosy with wooden walls, others a little colder with grey brick walls, but overall clean and quite bright. Some of them overlook the fort of Kharpocho and the mountains. The staff is helpful and welcoming and can help you organize your excursions, car rentals, etc. The hotel also has a restaurant, one of the best in the city. On the menu, delicious Pakistani dishes (biryani, chicken specialities, etc.) but also Chinese, continental and Thai, at very low prices (count 500 Rp for a dish and a drink). Their vegetarian soup is particularly good.
