This wooden mosque, whose architecture borrows from Kashmiri, Tibetan and Persian art and techniques, is the first to have been built in Shigar. It was Amir Kabir Syed Ali Hamdani, a Muslim poet and scholar who helped spread Islam in the region, who had it built in the 14th century.
