This magnificent two-storey wooden mosque is located near Shigar Fort and dates from the 17th century. It was built according to the traditional techniques of the time, in stone and wood, and its walls carved with geometric and floral engravings. The influence of Buddhism, very present in the region before the arrival of Islam, is found in the small tower on the roof.
