SERENA KHAPLU PALACE
This magnificent hotel is in fact the former fort of the Khaplu raja, built in the 1840s and restored by the Aga Khan Foundation in the 2000s. The 21 rooms (including 8 suites) are magnificent and warm, with beams on the ceiling, parquet flooring and wooden furniture. The hotel is located in a natural setting and surrounded by mountains. Among the hotel's five restaurants, Chaman Tsar Garden offers grills to enjoy in a garden with a splendid view, Sarfa Khar serves Balti, Pakistani and continental dishes, Khatamband Loggia is only open for breakfast and lunch. We eat on cushions on the ground, on the 1st floor, with an almost panoramic view of the surroundings.
