SHESHAN MOSQUE
Go there and contact
At the height of its seven centuries, the Chaqchan Mosque is one of the oldest in Pakistan. Its architecture, with Persian, Kashmiri and Tibetan influences, is unique. Finely carved wooden panels surround the temple and create a kind of verandah. The interior is beautiful, the floor is covered with multicoloured prayer mats and the walls and ceiling are decorated with Persian and Tibetan motifs. The second floor offers a breathtaking view of Khaplu, the Shyok Valley and some peaks of the Karakoram Range. A must see!
