30 kilometres north of Zadar, near Starigrad, this apartment-hotel is located in the former harbour master's office of Vinjerac. As in Senj, it is an imposing building by the sea, completely renovated, which now houses 17 modern apartments and studios, well decorated and well equipped (kitchen, refrigerator, television...). Some of them have a breathtaking view of the Adriatic, which is what makes this place so charming. The most important thing is the parking and private mooring for the boats. A cheap address, well located geographically, to discover the natural resources, sea side, coastal cities, islands and archipelagos (Pag, Vir, Kornati, etc.), land side, mountains, rivers and lakes in national parks (Velebit, Paklenica, Krka and even Plitvice).

We got into our room on the second day but the attitude from the owner was not nice. Ended up with us checking out after half of our week at Tamarix because of this. Fair enough, we would rather lose that money and go to another hotel to have a good last couple of days on our holiday.
Other than that, I would not say it is a four star standard on the hotel unfortunately. Spider webs in some corners and some towels had stains on them, we were told the AC could not run for longer periods of time. The reception was almost always empty and when calling the reception (the number went to the owners phone) we would hear the ring tone in another room but no amswer.
The location of the hotel is nice though, very close to the water and a beach.
