The Cloître de la Charité-sur-Loire, home to concerts and other events during the city's many festivals.
The cloister, of which only the north and east wings in the neoclassical style of the late 17th century are visible today, served the chapter hall, the Church of Our Lady and the refectory. The cloister hosts concerts and other events during the many festivals offered by the Charitois town. Note the presence of magnificent stained-glass windows, works by New York artist Christopher Wool. Designed and created in the workshop of the Burgundian master glassmaker Pierre-Alain Parot, the stained glass windows decorate the five bays of the chapter house and Mérimée with great purity.
