In the heart of the Cornell University campus, the Johnson Museum has been bringing visitors and art together since 1973. Old and contemporary works coexist in a raw concrete building created by the architect I.M. Pei, creator of the famous glass and steel pyramid of the Louvre. The university's Art Museum includes nearly 35,000 works of art, including a window by Frank Lloyd Wright, paintings by Edgar Degas and Henri Matisse, and a collection of over 20,000 photographs.
