GULF OF GEORGIA CANNERY NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE
One of British Columbia's largest canneries, a museum to learn about the history of the salmon fishery.
One of the most important canneries in the province, this museum takes you back to the golden age of salmon fishing and the export of cans around the world. The exhibition traces the different stages of canning, from the boat to the production line. Make sure you have a coat, as the factory is subject to draughts from the sea. In the off-season, a Winter Farmers' Market offers producer stands on certain Sundays from October to April.
