PARRISH ART MUSEUM
This museum is proof that the Hamptons are not only synonymous with beach and idleness! The building, into which the museum moved in 2012, was designed by the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron (also responsible for the Jenga Tower in New York, 56 Leonard Street) and blends perfectly into the landscape. The collections focus on works by local artists from Long Island where they settled, including forty paintings and drawings by William Merritt Chase, and 250 works donated by the painter Fairfield Porter before his death. Also worth seeing are contemporary works of art by John Chamberlain, Jackson Pollock or April Gornick.
