This beautiful neo-Gothic style residence was built in 1838 by architect Alexander Jackson Davis. It was successively inhabited by a governor of New York, a wealthy businessman and a railway magnate. The limestone that forms the exterior façade comes from the city of Ossining, 20 miles to the north. Lyndhurst is located in the heart of a vast 27 hectare English style park.
