This is one of the most challenging hikes in Garibaldi Provincial Park: 29 kilometres from Whistler, an 11-hour hike and 1,740 metres of elevation gain. It's also one of the most beautiful hikes in the area, climbing a high alpine plateau to view the black rock of the mighty Black Tusk. Black Tusk takes its name from the shape reminiscent of a walrus tusk. It is recommended that you plan this trip over two days with an overnight camping trip halfway along the trail.
