CHIESA DI SANTA MARIA DELL'ASSUNTA
Church in Gragnano whose stairs to the entrance are in volcanic stone.
A natural extension of the walk along the Valley of the Mills, a visit to the small medieval village of Castello, as if suspended in an enchanted atmosphere where time seems to have stopped, is a must. Its church, founded in the5th century, is worth a visit. The volcanic stone stairs leading to the entrance date back to the 6th century. The building we see today is the result of the renovation work made necessary after the earthquake of 1980.
