VALLE DEI MULINI DI GRAGNANO
Valley in the historical center, behind the bell tower of the Corpus Domini church with old water mills
In the heart of the historic centre, behind the bell tower of the Corpus Domini church, begins the Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills) which, in the Middle Ages, led to Amalfi. Along this beautiful walk, one can admire a succession of what remains of the old water mills used until the end of the 17th century for grinding wheat. The local craftsmen practiced what is known as the White Art, which includes all the phases of the production of pasta and its by-products.
