Every first weekend in August, tourists and locals alike take to the streets of Llucmaçanes, a municipality in eastern Menorca, to participate in the Sant Gaietà celebrations. Numerous events are organised for the occasion, such as the famous qualcada, a horse ride in honour of the patron saint. You can also enjoy the village church, founded in 1885, which hosts part of the celebrations. A very popular celebration that you should not miss if you are in Menorca at the beginning of August: the cavalcade is impressive!
