IBERVILLE MUSEUM
Renaissance style museum in the old parish court, offering guided tours included in the entrance fee.
It is not so much its collection as the building itself that is worth a quick look at this museum. The Iberville Museum is located in the former parish courthouse. Built in the Greek Renaissance style around 1848, it is the oldest building in the city. It also housed the town hall of Plaquemine. The building now houses exhibits related to the parish such as local music, veterans, the Atchafalaya Basin and the life of artist Virginia Campbell. Guided tours are offered and included in the admission fee.
