A place on the north coast where swimmers climb up and down happily at Chilmark.
The place gets its name from the huge stone that comes out of the water off the north coast, on which bathers climb and jump up and down merrily. If you don't feel like making a big splash, you can watch them from the large sandy beach surrounded by dunes, ideal for lazing around. A hiking trail makes a 1.5 mile loop. From the heights, you can enjoy a view of the twelve small islands that make up Elizabeth Islands.
