HOTEL DE VILLE - TAPISSERIES D’AUBUSSON
Luzy town hall in a former notables' mansion, with tapestries relating the biblical theme of the life of Esther
Former private mansion of notables from the 18th century, the building is now the town hall which, in the wedding hall, displays eight pieces of Aubusson tapestries. Listed as historical monuments, these tapestries, made of silk wool, were made to measure for the different panels of the hall: about 2.30 m high, they represent the biblical theme of Esther's life and date from the first quarter of the 18th century.
