CONSERVATOIRE DE LA MONOPLACE FRANÇAISE
Conservatory where you can discover a frieze retracing the events of the 20th century in France, the evolution of racing car technologies
Located at the address of the former Musée Ligier, the Conservatoire de la Monoplace Française was inaugurated in May 2015. Stretching over 1400 m², it is an ode to the history of the single-seaters and close relationship maintained with Magny-Cours. The visit begins with the corridor of the time when a frieze recounts the events of the 20th century in France. Then various spaces come featuring the evolution of technology on these racing cars, including many photos of old times, then a space devoted to single-seaters, 48 exactly, and all original. The last room, the climax of the academy, explains the French brand, displaying its evolution from the first Ligier to the last F1. An efficient museography which perfectly completes the equipment and the offers of the tour.
