CARNAVAL DE LA BAÑEZA
Go there and contact
One of the most popular carnivals in Castilla y León, where parades and bands enliven the streets for almost a week.
A tradition maintained throughout the ages, this festival became popular during Franco's repression. The festivities begin with a carnival procession of the inhabitants, followed by the "quiet" night in which the best costume and the best group are elected. On Saturday, another parade, more spontaneous, and in the evening, the great carnival dinner. On Sunday, the parades go through the streets. Monday will be the day of the children's carnival and the bewitching night, Tuesday, that of the great costume parade. And on Wednesday, it will be the burial of the sardine.
