TEXTILE ROUTE

The city was the place of a long textile tradition that left an important industrial heritage that it will be possible to discover by following this road of textile factories, along Du's Cuerpo River, a situation that owes nothing at random since the water used to feed textile machines or hydroelectric turbines. To make better use of this energy, part of the current passed through the different pesqueras that allowed the water to be distributed in the canals. During this tour, you will be able to observe those of Los Caballos, Los Capitanes, Tapia or Los Ladrones, as well as the companies located on the banks, some of which were essential to the development of Béjar. Throughout this walk you will find informative signs. At the end or at the beginning of the journey, visit the Textile museum, located in an old factory.
