JULIÁN GONZÁLEZ MUSEUM
Inaugurated at the end of February 2017, this new museum settled in the former Aurora hermitage, a highly emblematic place of Fuente de Cantos, to pay tribute to the work of a child of the country, Julián González, a sculptor but also a contractor, living and working in Brazil. The fund of this museum consists of a set of 27 sculptures, a gift from their author to the city. They make it possible to explore the different artistic stages of the sculptor, from his first Christ, carved while he was still a child until the present sculptures, stone and marble. At the opening of this museum, Julián González, now 80 years old, was named hijo predilecto of the town of Fuente de Cantos, in tribute to his work but also to the social work carried out in Brazil.
