CASTILLO DE AGUAS MANSAS
Medieval castle built of ashlar, located in Agoncillo, home to the town hall and municipal library.
This medieval castle, built of dressed stone in the 13th and 14th centuries, is today the seat of the town hall and the municipal library. It is a rectangular construction flanked by four towers crowned with machicolation. Above the main door, the coat of arms of the Cruz de Calatrava (Calatrava Cross) stands out. During the visit, you will walk around the outside of the castle, where you can see the moat and part of the wall, as well as the parade ground and the keep, which houses a permanent exhibition on the castles and fortresses of La Rioja.
