AGHAZADEH HOUSE
You will certainly recognize this beautiful home if you have had 20,000 rial notes in your hands. Since 2015, it has been used as an illustration, with its splendid and imposing wind tower at the centre. The building dates back to the Qadjar dynasty. The house is organized around a large central stone basin that serves the different parts of the house. These are arranged in such a way that, depending on the season, the family lived in one wing or another to enjoy the warmth or coolness. The wind tower, which you can approach while walking on the rooftops, is one of the most beautiful in Iran with its 18 meters high and its many columns. Her massive appearance is not an architectural delirium: it simply allows her to catch the slightest breath of wind and thus cool the room under her, even when the air is rare.
