ISFAHAN BAZAAR
In the northern part of the Imam's Square, the Royal Bazar Bazaar (Bazar Bazaar), once one of the richest markets in Central Asia, remains one of the most beautiful in Iran and the Middle East. The monumental gate of the entrance rises to the bottom of a small cut square square. Tiles overhanging the door include sagittarius, Isfahan himself constellation. Most of the bazaar was built in 1619. Some of its portions are, however, millennia. The bazaar links the Imam's Square at the Masjed-é Jame Mosque (Friday mosque), located several kilometres away. Places, fountains, caravanserais, madrasahs and mosques, such as the th century Hakim mosque, are built into this huge maze of streets covered with brick vaults, where only a gentle light is filtering. By embarking on the heart of this timeless labyrinth, in these aisles sheltered from heat, the world of craftsmen reveals itself: goldsmiths working in silver jewelry, chaudronniers manufacturing crafting copper objects, cobblers, fabricants khatem (ivoire of ivory, wood and mother's @), miniaturistes but also merchants of spices and deserts of the desert… The magic of sounds, colors and smells works.
