SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE
Old collegiate church of Gothic style which shelters a superb museum of sculptures, exposed in the various chapels
Located in the Plaza Mayor, this former collegiate church in Gothic style was built between the 16th and 18th centuries. It now houses a superb sculpture museum, exhibited in the various chapels. Inside, the magnificent 16th century altarpiece above the high altar stands out. At a time when Medina del Campo was the centre of the wool trade, no merchant could close a deal until the great mass celebrated on fair days from its "Balcón del Pópulo" was over.
