EGLISE DE COMMAGNY
Church built on a Latin cross plan, distinguished by its circular apses and apsidioles in Moulins-Engilbert.
As early as the 8th century, a Cluniac monastery was founded, dedicated to Saint Laurent. It wasn't until the 12thcentury that the monastery and parish church were built, along with a cloister that has now disappeared, a communal oven and a building used as a granary. Built on a Latin cross plan, the church features circular apses and apsidioles and a bell tower on the transept crossing. Inside, the conical nave is remarkable, as is the choir, consisting of an apse flanked by two chapels.
