Once in Supe Puerto, we reach the archeological site of Aspero by motorcycle taxi. It is believed that it was a fishermen's city. There are three main temples: Huaca Alta, Huaca de los Idolos and Huaca de los Sacrificios where remains of human sacrifices have been found. The Hucaca Alta was the most imposing, but it suffered a lot from illegal excavations and was partially destroyed. In 2016 the remains of a local elite woman from 4,500 years ago were found at Huaca de los Idolos, as well as flutes carved from bone remains.
