MAMY CHÉRIE

RAPHAËLLE ! femme et personnage pleine de vie ! Une pépite cuisinière italienne / créole . La maison où nous dormons est la sienne. Nous sommes à l étage et partageons avec elle les pièces communes (terrasse et table à manger). Tout est décoré avec goût. Bien pensé. C’est un plaisir d’y séjourner. Tout est pensé écologie et nous sommes sensibilisés à faire attention à l’eau surtout. Moustiquaire et si l’on veut anti moustique et Clim. Et en plus étant à rodrigues depuis 17 ans, elle peut tout organiser en ayant un bon rapport qualité prix ! Porche la réserve de tortues, les îles cocos / île au sable. Merci encore. Un vrai plaisir surtout d’avoir partagé des grandes discussions avec Raphaëlle et son mari.

I first came to Mamy Cherie only for dinner, it was truly the best meal I've had during my entire stay in Mauritius and Rodrigues! Raffy has an incredible way of making simple and locally available ingredients into an extraordinary meal. Additionally, Raffy and Roland's hospitality made for a really memorable dinner. So memorable, that I came back to stay 1 night at Mamy Cherie during my following trip to Rodrigues, this time I was welcomed into a beautifully decorated room, with all the amenities I could need (the mosquito net and anti-mosquito machine were a real plus). Once again we enjoyed an amazing dinner and delicious breakfast. Although Mamy Cherie's place doesn't have any ocean views and isn't on the beach, the surrounding is very peaceful and relaxing. Raffy & Roland's hospitality and amazing meals make up for the lack of ocean view 10-fold in my opinion. I would highly recommend Mamy Cherie to anyone who is exploring the island and wants to immerse themselves in the Rodrigues lifestyle.

The warmth and good humour of Roland and Raffy are EXTRAORDINARY, coupled with those, the food prepared by Raffy is WONDERFUL.
I will HIGHLY recommend Mamy Cherie to all those who would like to spend a few MEMORABLE days in Rodrigues.
