The Benesse House Museum opened in 1992 as an integrated museum and hotel facility based on the concept of the coexistence of nature, art and architecture. Designed by Tadao Ando, the Benesse House Museum houses a significant amount of contemporary art acquired by Benesse Holdings. Inc and Soichiro Fukutake. The works range from Caesar to Andy Warhol, Giacometti, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Niki de Saint Phalle... The works are scattered in the rooms, in the building and also in the surroundings of the place, in the nature.
