In Nevers, this excellent restaurant offers gourmet cuisine and delicate dishes prepared with finesse and originality.

The Toque nivernaise Jean-Michel Couron officiates near the church of Saint-Etienne. His gastronomic cuisine has proven its excellence. On the day of our visit, we enjoyed a starter of celery velouté with Burgundy snails, farmhouse goat's cheese and walnuts. This was followed by a supreme of free-range chicken à la plancha, gnocchi, parmesan and tonka bean-infused chicken jus. Before finishing with an apple and mascarpone jelly with rum, Breton shortbread crumbs and salted butter caramel. Magnificent!

Un superbe accueil, des plats raffinés et très beaux, un bon rythme dans le service, un lieu chargé d'histoire, les vieilles pierres, les voûtes, le petit jardin intérieur pour les fumeurs (afin d éviter de fumer sur le trottoir). Le plus : des tables restreintes, sur réservation de préférence et on a l'avantage de dîner dans le calme et de s'entendre à table. Nous y reviendrons.
