ÉGLISE SAINT-PIERRE
Church with a Greek cross plan in Nevers which contains a painting by the Le Nain brothers, Saint-Michel offering his arms to the Virgin.
This former chapel became a parish church in 1771, after the destruction of the Saint-Père church, which existed on the current Place Guy-Coquille. It was then called Saint-Pierre Church. Built, at the request of the Jesuits, from 1612 to 1677, the church with a Greek cross plan, saw its vaults decorated in the 17th century by Giovanni Gherardini and Battista Sabatini. The church also contains a painting of the brothers Le Nain, Saint-Michel offering his arms to the Virgin, from a chapel of Notre-Dame de Paris. The façade is very original.
