PALAIS DUCAL
Renaissance style palace which houses the reception rooms of Nevers, the city council room and the tourist office.
The Ducal Palace was built in the second half of the 15th century. The Cleves and Gonzaga families completed the building in the Renaissance style. Its facade is decorated with octagonal turrets and a central tower, with bas-reliefs. These evoke the legend of Saint Hubert and the knight with the swan, the famous ancestor of the House of Cleves. The monument houses the reception rooms of the city, the city council room. The tourist office and the heritage area on the history of the city (fun exhibition) are located on the first floor.
