The area has many natural pools and rocky caves, when the sea recedes. You can take advantage of this to take a dip at low tide, like at Playa Bejuco, just north of Playa San Miguel. This beautiful black sand beach lined with palm trees is not very popular with tourists, so it's ideal for a little time out of the tour. It is the nesting place of many species of birds that you can observe. For sportsmen, you can practice water sports: surfing, snorkeling or windsurfing are offered.
