SAGRA DELLA CASTAGNA

A traditional festival held in the ancient villages of Marciana and Poggio, where tables and tasting stands are set up everywhere, even in the smallest alleyways. A culinary rendezvous during which it is possible to taste local products made from chestnuts: chestnut flour bread, tagliatelle, jams, chestnut polenta, and above all castagnaccio, a flat cake made with grapes, pine nuts and chestnut flour. All accompanied by local wine and beer... with chestnut!
