Reception center located near the pier to get information upon arrival on the island of Pianosa
Reception centre, located close to the boarding dock, to get information as soon as you arrive on Pianosa Island. Temporary exhibitions are presented there. During our visit, the orchids of Pianosa were in the spotlight. There are a total of 17 species of orchids on the island, mainly located along the coastline. The most common species are Ophrys carbonifera and Ophrys bombyx. In terms of richness, i.e. the number of species in relation to surface area, the island of Pianosa has a coefficient close to that of Sardinia.
