A must-stop on the way to Cocodrie. This old-fashioned store is a meeting place for fishermen and locals alike. It sells drinks, snacks and fishing equipment. The house is holding up well, despite the hurricanes. In 2022, it still took several months to get it back on its feet. Mr. Lapeyrouse speaks good French, and will be happy to tell you all about the history of the place. At the far end of the garden, the view of the wild bayou is well worth the detour.
