CHAUVIN SCULPTURE GARDEN
Garden open to the public, under the wings of Nicholls State University in Chauvin.
More than a hundred sculptures, with a strong religious and Manichean overtone, face and respond to each other in this originally private garden. Kenny Hill was a bricklayer, and then he started to decorate his piece of land with his brick and concrete sculptures. So much so that since 2002, Nicholls State University has taken the garden under its wing and opened it to the public. The artist, struggling with life, its meaning, religion and notions of right and wrong, emphasizes so-called Cajun colors. In some of his sculptures, he has even put himself on stage.
