Built in 1260, Waldkirch's Kestelburg rises to a height of 363 metres, offering breathtaking views of the village and the Black Forest. It's an imposing structure, and one of the best-preserved castles in the area. Explanations are given in German and French. Don't hesitate to step inside, and then walk around the castle from a distance: the view from here is breathtaking. There's a bar-restaurant at its foot, where you can recharge your batteries before continuing on the footpaths to Allerheiligen.
