The Talisker Distillery is the star of the island and one of its main attractions. Celebrated throughout the world, it was founded in 1830 and was much appreciated by Robert Louis Stevenson. The simple tour lasts about 45 minutes and is very complete, through the entire manufacturing process. It ends with the tasting of the 10-year-old, a single malt with a 45.8% strength and a full-bodied, peaty, spicy and pleasantly iodized character. Another tour combines whisky and chocolate, and a third offers a guided tasting with an expert.

La fameuse distillerie de l’île de Skye, vous y trouverez toute l'histoire du Talisker, vous pourrez bien sure y acheter ce whisky tourbé, pour info vous ne pourrez acheter de l'alcool à partir de 12h

Dommage que des audioguides ou des guides papiers ne soient pas disponibles en français et dans d’autres langues car si nous n’avions pas visite le Scotch Whisky Muséum a Edimbourg nous n’aurions rien compris à la visite qui était intégralement en anglais avec des termes très techniques, difficilement compréhensibles même avec notre bon niveau d’anglais

Seule distillerie de l'île de Skye, c'est un peu l'usine mais la saveur particulière de ce whisky mérite à lui seule la visite.
