The romantic 75-hectare Castle Kennedy Gardens are a popular choice for family outings in the region and for lovers of landscape art. They were created in the 1730s by the Earl of Stair, and the result is delightful: azaleas, rhododendrons and walled gardens are all present, surrounded by two lochs and two castles. Five walks have been mapped out to help you discover the garden's hidden treasures (brochures available on the website or at the entrance). Also worth seeing: the magnificent round pond and canal.
