This border crossing (Vendkalimi Kufitar Muçibabë/Depcë, Granični prelaz Mučibaba/Depce) is important for the inhabitants of Gjilan/Gnjilane. It allows them to reach the Serbian region of the Preševo Valley where a large Albanian minority lives. Together with its entire municipality, the town of Прешево/Preševo (located 14 km southeast of the border crossing) has about 35,000 inhabitants, 90% of whom are Albanians. It is located near the European highway E-75.
