For the celebration of St. Basil of Ostorg, many festive, sports and cultural activities are organized.
May 12 is the day of the celebration of St. Basil of Ostorg, patron saint of the city. On this occasion a big cross is erected in the city and many festive, sports and cultural activities are organized. This day attracts many visitors, especially from neighboring Serbia. Among the activities, a running race (3.5 km course in the city) and the Honey Festival (beekeepers' day and craft market around honey and honey products).
