FESTA MAJOR DE CARDONA

The Festa Major de Cardona, which has been celebrated since the 17th century, is an important event in the region's festive calendar. It is known for its bullfighting races (correbou) organised on the Place de la Fira, where arenas are set up to host the competitions. It is also an opportunity to admire the Balls de Bastons (stick dances), one of the oldest and most popular dances in Catalonia, whose origins date back to the 12th century. Giant parades, concerts and fireworks complete the celebrations.
