BAJGORA VILLAGE (BAJGORA - BAJGORA)
Located at an altitude of 1,324 m at the southern end of the Kopaonik range, this Albanian village (about 1,000 inhabitants) in the municipality of Mitrovica offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, full of hiking opportunities and includes a hotel and restaurant, the Dodona (www.facebook.com/hoteldodona). Arriving from Mitrovica, 6 km before Bajgora, on the right of the road, are the impressive ruins of the Mazhiq/Mažić mosque built in the middle of the 16th century and abandoned in the 19th century. Then, shortly afterwards, in the village of Bara/Bare, there is a pretty little waterfall (ujvarat e Barës). Note that Bajgora is connected to the bus station of Mitrovica South with one bus per day (departure in the middle of the morning, duration 30 minutes).
