SPIAGGIA DI CAVOLI
One of the most famous beaches of Elba for its crystal clear and shallow water in Cavoli.
Facing south, this beach is one of the most famous on the island for its shallow, crystalline water, which makes it suitable for children. Covered with white granite sand, it offers a beautiful panorama of Montecristo and Pianosa. Its name comes from the cut granite blocks, the Cavili, once extracted from local quarries. Remains remind us that granite was already worked in Roman times and then in the Middle Ages during the Pisan domination. To the east, the sublime Grotta Azzurra, also called Grotta di Mare, is only accessible by boat or pedal boat.
