CASETTA DROUOT
The of Poggio wasinhabited by the general Drouot, governor of Elba during the exile of Napoleon.
Known as "the little house of good rest", the casetta was inhabited by General Drouot, governor of the island during Napoleon's exile. This eighteenth century house has preserved an elegant interior, with floral motifs and paintings typical of the Elbo style. Between chestnut trees and island panoramas, there is a great peace and quiet and the impression of going back in time, especially in the evening when the casetta is lit by candles. Nowadays private property, you have to contact by phone the Compagnia teatrale dei Tappezzieri to book your visit.
